摘要

Robotics has become an important subject to improve lifernstyles for humans with the purpose of rehabilitations inrnbiomedical engineering. There are various symptoms andrnperformance with various targeted users. For example, anrnorthosis is one of popular medical devices, but thernorthosis for paralyzed patients should be designedrndifferently from the orthosis for cardiopulmonaryrnpatients. Therefore, biomedical engineers should researchrnthe needs, requirements, contraindications, and otherrnfactors for specific targeted users. This study is focusedrnon cardiopulmonary patients as targeted users andrnindicating necessary functions, requirements,rncontraindications that lead biomedical engineers to designrnsuitable Robotic Training Orthosis (RTO) forrncardiopulmonary patients. This paper includes findings,rnexperimental results, technological developments, designrndevices, and clinical applications of RTO in biomedicalrnengineering field.
