In this paepr, an attempt is made to narrate one of the best practices the tribals of Andhra Pradesh had adopted to control erosion by constructing a check dam, arresting the habit of shifting cultivation and controlling hill side erosion by taking up extensive cashew plantation on the severely eroded slopes.
