The main task of our research is to achieve a proper analyticalrnmodel to describe the forces exchanged between the mixingrnarms of a mechanical mixing machine and concrete during thernwhole mixing process. The model has been validated throughrnexperimental tests on a real type of mixer.rnThe behavior of the sand- cement mix is very different in thernthree principal phases of a possible mixing operation:rnPhase 1: first mixing phase, sand and concrete are inserted inrnthe mixer without water, "dry - phase",rnPhase 2: a proper quantity of water is added to the dry mix forrnfinal mixing, "wet phase",rnPhase 3: final mixing for complete homogenization of the mix.rnThe electrical power necessary in the three phases is veryrndifferent and in close relation to very different theoreticalrnmodel that we will discuss later in the article.rnThe main correlations between the geometrical shape of a sorncalled omega mixer and the force exchanged is presented inrnthe article.rnAt the end of the article the coupling between the theoreticalrnand the experimental data is presented.
