STUDY ON THE PROCESS OF SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION BASED ON NETWORK TIES IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP NETWORK

Network ties are most important social capital (Casson, 2007) [1], in the entrepreneurship network, network ties are used by entrepreneurs to search for relevant information resource. This paper reviews and analyzes the literature on entrepreneurship and network ties; presents search models, which exploit the distinction between strong and/or weak ties in entrepreneurship network. Simulation results for the various search models show the network ties will affect searching efficiency and the most efficacious entrepreneurship networks are small-world, so entrepreneurs should use different combination of network ties to get necessary information in different situation and phase.
