Two reverse - phase high - performance liquid chromatographic methods have een used for the separation and determination of the flavonol glycosides found in the leaves of Ginkgo biloba.The first methhod is a "fingerprint" procedure to identify unambiguously 1 flavonol glycosides of ginkgo biloba within 43 min.This method was used fo th equantitative determination of the flavonol glyucosides in autumn green leaves from different geographic origin.Five peaks were identified by co -chromatography with authentic standards.The second mehtod includes hydrolysis of the flavonoids and susequent quantitative chromatographic assay of the obtianed aglycones.Generally,quercretin and kaempferol are the main peaks an the concentration of isorhamnetin is approximately five times or even lower.The total amounts of aglycones were 0.2 approx 0.4
