In the 863 project "A Research on Key Technologies of Environmental Monitoring Platform in Far-reaching Sea based on Sensor Network", a problem about the increase of development cycle and experimental cost is faced when the a-coustic communication nodes based on SOPC (System On a Programmable Chip) technologies update their hardware configuration and software program frequently in the event of lake or ocean experiment. A wireless and high-speed IAP (In Application Programming) technology of configuration and downloading based on WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) of WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) is introduced in this paper, which has solved the problem that the nodes have to be salvaged from underwater, disassembled of sealed enclosure and updated from a PC or a laptop, shortened the development cycle effectively, and facilitated the study of acoustic communication algorithms efficiently. The wireless communication based IAP technology has applicability and generality for the study and development of network products based on the SOPC technology. With the promotion and usage of SOPC technology in industry, agriculture, military, scientific and technological fields, this IAP technology has broad application prospects.
