In some practical situations, the working time intervals of the unit may be ephemeral enough to consider that the total damage of such unit increases continuously with time t approximately. Prom such a viewpoint, this paper proposes a summary of replacement policies for continuous damage models. First, a basic continuous damage model without shock occurrence is given. Second, minimal maintenance at every shock time is considered into the model. Third, damage due to shocks can be additive to the current damage and the path of damage will be influenced at shock times. Furthermore, numerical examples for the models are computed when the parameters are distributed normally and exponentially.
