A detailed kinetic model using a state-to-state approachrnis developed in order to calculate global rate coefficientsrnfor two important processes involved in the atmosphericrnMartian entries chemistry: dissociation/recombination ofrnCarbon dioxide and ionization/recombination of AtomicrnCarbon, Nitrogen, Oxygen and Argon. The behaviorrnof the species involved is governed by the general balancernequation including forward and backward elementaryrnprocesses whose rate coefficients are in part basedrnon experimental data. Extrapolation methods are usedrnwhen necessary. During the population densities timeevolution,rna quasi steady state can be identified: a globalrnrate coefficient can be derived only during this state. Thernrates therefore obtained are fitted under a modified Arrheniusrnlaw and some of them are finally compared withrnexperimental results.
