LATENT HEAT OF FUSION AND HEAT CAPACITYOF PARAFFIN WAX

摘要

Based on the quasi-steady-state theory a calorimeter was developed to measure latent heat of fusion and heatrncapacity of substance. The calorimeter was calibrated and verified by means of measuring heat capacities ofrnn-heptane and water. The agreement with accurate values from the literature is within 0.8 percent. The latentrnheat of fusion and heat capacities in solid and liquid of paraffin wax which is used to store thermal energyrnfrom air-condition condenser were measured with the calorimeter.
