Software Demonstration: Reliability and Inverse Analysis for Geotechnical Design with FEM

In this software demonstration we will present the results of recent efforts of coupling reliability analysis and inverse analysis routines to commercial FEM software and other numerical analysis tools.After presenting the tools and their general architecture, their capabilities will be demonstrated by means of application examples of retaining walls and possibly settlements and groundwater flow.The long term aim of our development activities is to provide users and other developers open-source tools for reliability-based geotechnical design optimization.
