摘要

The confirmatory analysis of Berry's (1997) acculturation model, would emerge from the latent class method of related indices, immigrant workers from China participated in the study, we used measures of mainstream and heritage cultural orientations for classification, a number of external variables including ethnic identity, perceived discrimination and pressures were utilized for confirmation. The results partially supported for Berry's categories, six classes emerged from study, four of these appeared to represent assimilation and integration respectively, and some of the value-based indices supported Berry's model. Implications of the findings are discussed.
