The West Timor PSC is a frontier area forrnhydrocarbon exploration, characterized by anrnextremely complex geology and a challengingrnoperational environment. The acquisition of a newrnset of Airborne Potential Field data and itsrnintegration with conventional G&G datasets hasrnenhanced the local geological and geophysicalrnknowledge and led to a more effective planning ofrnexploration strategies, and the establishment of arnway forward the exploration of the PSC.rnFollowing a feasibility study, an acquisition patternrnlayout design has been defined. Acquisitionrnparameters have been based on the geologicalrnframework of the area (as derived from availablernG&G data).rnHigh resolution Gravity and magnetic data wasrnacquired by SGL in November 2012.rnSpecial methodologies supported by eni proprietaryrnsoftware tools, and data integration allowedrnreconstructing and distinguishing structural patternsrnand major fault systems at different depths,rnenhancing the geological and geophysicalrnknowledge of the investigated area.rnModeling supported by vintage seismic datarnallowed defining basement architecture andrnprospective structural features.rnFinally, the resulting geo-structural model was usedrnto de-risk the acquisition outline of a new 3Drnseismic survey.Please note that do to data confidentiality issue, itrnhas not been possible to describe into appropriaterndetails the geo-structural interpretation derived fromrnpotential data analysis. For the same reason onlyrnsmall portion of not geo-referenced data examplesrnhave been included in the figures.
