This paper presents the preliminary results for an approach to determine the low frequency vibration value detectable by a GPS.Vibrations are common behavior of large structures,such as bridges,footbridges,tall buildings and towers,undergoing dynamic loads,which characterization will lead into structural analysis studies. rnIt is feasible to detect structural vibrations using a computational model and GPS sensors.The difficulty to detect very low frequencies vibrations,most ranging between 0.05 up to 1 Hz at short to medium span bridges, is the unavoidable presence of multipath signal in the same frequency range. rnThe hypothesis on this paper is that the structure vibrations measurements,mixed with random amplitude and frequency signal generated by electronics and ionosphere together with slowly varying signal generated by multipath,can be better detect with an oversampled GPS data set.This hypothesis relies on fact that the structure oscillation is reasonable stable during the data collecting period.
