The state-of-the art education system should be in time for the knowledge-intensive technologies, that are developing with a high pace and be as mobile and effective as possible. The development of science-intensive technologies is developing with a tremendous pace, so the knowledge obtained in the university is quickly becoming obsolete, therefore the modernization of equipment should go in synchronism with the modernization of knowledge of technical specialists, as well as the knowledge of academic staff in this area. The role of continuous professional education, focused on priority areas of science and technology and interacting with production is becoming increasingly important in the context of the transition of the Russian economy to an innovative development model. The article presents an approach to the development of training programs, that basis on the components of the process according to the Deming cycle model, which is the main model of the quality management system. The analysis of the quality of the implementation of continuing professional education programs were done. According to the developed course feedback questionnaires, recommendations for improving the programs and the methods of quality estimation were described. This document will be of interest to everybody who are interested or are in charge of evaluating quality in higher education or in continuous professional education. The results of the article will make it possible to make an important contribution to international literature in the context of the globalization of higher education. Evaluation of the quality of continuing education and the process of its improvement is a timely and important task, both for universities and for enterprises.
