Research on Cultivation Model of Application-oriented Talents in the Higher Vocational Colleges of Japan

Japan's higher vocational education has gradually established its target of cultivating applicationoriented technical talents in the simultaneous development with industrial society, and has built a scientific and distinctive talent cultivation model by running characteristic vocational education, flexible major setting, development of practical courses, enterprise-school cooperation and emphasizing on the education of vocational qualification. This paper summarizes and refines Japan's successful experience in the cultivation model on the basis of history and current situation of talent training in the vocational education of Japan in order to provide references to the practice of reform in the higher vocational education of China.
