Taking account, of the fact that magnetostatic waves are highly dispersive, a new equation governing magnetostatic wave envelope solitions has been derived and it has been applied to study on a filtering effect on an input pulse.rnSolitons behave like particles, as they can keep their shape after collisions with each other and propagate for a long distance without changing their profile. With the rapid developement of soliton theories during the last two decades, envelope solitons are found to be very atttractive in their applications to communication and signal processing because of their particle features.
