In terms of the extended nonlinear Schrodinger equation with allowance for both the third-order dispersion and the dispersion of the nonlinear term, the evolution of solitons of the envelope of backward volume magnetostatic waves in a tangentially magnetized layered structure of the isotropic ferromagnet-insulator-metal type is investigated. It is shown that, as in the case of normally magnetized structures (see [10]), conditions necessary for the appearance of "bright" and "dark" Potasek-Tabor (PT) solitons can be realized in the system at a certain length of the high-frequency carrier wave and a proper relationship between the thicknesses of the magnetic layer and the insulator interlayer. It is shown that, unlike the case of normally magnetized layered structures, "dark" rather than "bright" PT solitons are realized in the range of small wave vectors in the tangentially magnetized structures. It is also shown that a change from the dark-soliton to bright-soliton regime of propagation of nonlinear waves and vice versa can occur in a tangentially magnetized plate at a fixed wavelength with a change in the angle between the direction of the wave propagation and the external magnetic field. The main characteristics of solitons, such as their shape, the distribution width, the frequency of the magnetization precession in them, and the velocity of propagation, are calculated. In the space "the relative thickness of the insulator interlayer-the angle between the direction of wave propagation and the external magnetic field" (DELTA/d-theta]), a surface on which the PT solitons are realized at a fixed wavelength has been constructed. The conditions for the nucleation of multisoliton states and the role of damping are analyzed numerically. It is shown that for the excitation of multisoliton states, a certain threshold amplitude of the initial distribution should be reached, while no such threshold exists for single-soliton states. The possibility of the experimental observation of the above nonlinear states is discussed.
