摘要

Low quality of underwater acoustic images posesrndifficulties for machine vision. In some applications, thisrnmay be further complicated by the presence of unwantedrnobjects, such as fish or other marine animals. We proposernan unmanned system that can acquire underwater imagesrnof interested targets by using underwater laser. Anrnunderwater laser gated system is employed to catch realtimernunderwater laser images. VxWorks is running on anrnembedded platform and in charge of controlling the wholernsystem. Algorithms for image processing and selfadjustmentrnare implanted in the BSP for VxWorks, whichrnenables the system to self-regulate in order to acquirernbetter images of ROI. A PC can be used as an optionalrnunit to watch the real-time result images and offer usersrnan interface to fully control the system.
