In the process of Brazil’s entry into the Information Society,rncitizen’s education in this field is vital in order to thernindividuals to act and live in equal opportunities andrnconditions. The information and communicationrntechnologies (ICT) can offer enormous contribution to therneffectiveness and visibility of the programs of digital infoinclusion,rnincreasing numbers with regards to people,rncommunities and regions. This article reports on strategiesrndeveloped, and measures implemented, by the Cityrndepartment of Education for the municipal governmentrnschools in the city of Marilia, S?o Paulo. Anrnepistemological and practical orientation is adopted. As arnresult, one identifies, in a digital environment, a guaranteernof better conditions of the informational development of therncompetences of the citizens involved. The projectrn“Instructional Technology Program” consolidated arnperception of the necessity of partnerships that lead tornimproved results on the use of computer science technologyrnby students of basic education, according to evaluations andrnnational competitions. Partnerships among teachers andrnpost-graduates in Information Science at the Marília campusrnof UNESP (Sao Paulo State University), the Cityrndepartment of Education, instructors of computer sciencerntraining, and teachers of the municipal schools, willrncontribute to give visibility to situations that still defy andrnaffect the programs of digital inclusion in the municipalrnpublic administration.
