With the changes of people's life style in wearing as well as to meet the requirements of softer and comforter fabrics, thinner and thinner wool yarns are used to knit light sweater and to wear close to skin in spring, autumn, even in summer indoor, however, which demands better properties of wool weft knitted fabric, such as elasticity and shape stability. In the present paper, the influences of fibre fineness and yarn count, weft knitted structure and parameters on wool weft knitted fabrics are discussed. It was found that the elasticity of fine wool weft knitted fabric is better than ordinary wool fabric with same structure and worse shape stability except structure of pearl and 1×1 half tuck rib.
