摘要

This paper deals with modelling and experimental studies of deep bed grain drying in arn0.75 meter diameter column. Experimental works were carried out for a layer of grainsrnbed. The model of the deep-bed grain dryers consider heat and mass transfer withinrngrain phase together with mass and heat dispersion in the fluid phase. The twodimensionalrndynamic equations of heat and mass conservation are solved numericallyrnwith a finite-difference method and by utilization of alternating direction implicitrnalgorithm. The model was validated by comparing with the experimental data.rnFurthermore, the model will be applied to simulate humidity and temperature profiles ofrnthe drying gas together with moisture content and temperature of corn grain across therndrier. The simulation results show that models can be used to predict well of dryingrncharacteristic profiles.
