Field experiments were conducted to study the impact of trash mulching @ 3t/ha + Trichogramma chtionis @ 500001 ha on early shoot borer in different sugar factory operational areas of North Coastal Zone as well as in Regional Agricultural Research Station, Anakapalle from 2005-09. The results indicated that trash mulching @ 3t/ha + field release of egg parasitoids, T.chilonis @ 50000/ha for four times at 7-10 days interval commencing from 35 days after planting recorded significantly less incidence of early shoot borer (1.23% and 1.42%) with high cane yield (97.0 t/ha and 88.5 t/ha) and per cent sucrose (19% and 19.72%) compared to the untreated plots (23.0%, 87.83 t/ha and 15.6%; 26.33%, 78.48t/ha and 18.77%) in different sugar factory operational areas and in RARS., Anakapalle respectively.
