摘要

Direct Laser Fabrication is a new rapid manufacturing technique in which objects are fabricated layer by layer by the interaction between a moving laser beam and a coaxially injected powder. The thermal history governs the final properties and so its knowledge is a preliminary step before its control. In this work, the laser track is represented by an analytical function. A thermal analytical model using the Green's function and taking into account this clad geometry is proposed. The thermal flux density induced by the laser beam is given as a uniform distribution (top hat laser beam) and applied on the clad extremity. The calculated melt pool geometry and the thermal field are studied in different planes. These results are compared with experimental observations.
