Powder Injection Moulding of thin-walled parts

摘要

The term thin-wall moulding in the PIM industry usually implies parts with a wall thickness of approximately 1 mm. Experience in moulding parts with wall thicknesses less than 1 mm is rare. In this paper the results of investigations in moulding of 0.25 mm thick PIM-parts with different feedstocks will be presented. Because of the filling problems of thin-walled PIM-parts special process techniques and machine functions were tested in order to get a complete filledpart.
