Process and device for injection moulding a thin-walled foam moulding

A process and a device serve for injection moulding a thin-walled foam part. Into a cavity 35 of an injection mould 32, a liquefied foamable plastic is injected under pressure and foams in the cavity 35. In order to obtain as uniform as possible a foaming process in which the foam part produced is uniformly porous and has a continuous pore-free skin on its surface, the cavity 35 is enlarged during the foaming process by controlled opening of the injection mould 32.
