A water quality improvement program was conducted which provided for treatment process modifications to effectively address enhancemnet of water quality at a Palm Beach County Water utilities Departdment (PBCWUD) regional lime softening water treatment plant (WTP).Having determined through pilot studies that ozonation would be most suitable for addressing water quality improvements relatie to color removal,ozonation facilities were designed,constructed,and brought on-line in September of 1991.
