The Saxion Universities of Professional Education are located on two campuses, in the old dutch cities of Deventer and Enschede, in the East of the Netherlands, having recently been formed from two traditional Dutch Polytechnics. The policy and educational philosophy of the Saxion Universities formulated four crucial points: 1. Train students in competences that are necessary to functioning as a starting professional. 2.Organize education where the students acquire skills in an active way of learning 3. Competence learning occurs in an individual route 4. Arrange an efficient and effective organization.
