To quantify the strength of interference between adjoining discharged cells of PDP, charge flow from a discharged cell to its adjacent cells has been estimated. We have measured the voltage increase in address discharge at the adjacent cells, which implies change in wall charge caused by charge flow. The change of the voltage is recognized as a kind of cross-talk phenomena, and may cause pixel defects in the picture quality. The cell geometry can be designed to suppress the flow, i.e. lower barrier rib height and thicker dielectric layer suppress the flow.
