摘要

Noise implications of road pricing in Hong Kong have been evaluated in terms of Traffic NoisernExposure (TNE) and Noise Performance Index (NPI). TNE is an estimated noise level applyingrnthe procedures of the UK Calculation of Road Traffic Noise. NPI is calculated from noisernexposure deviation above or below a traffic noise planning guideline for each road link in therntransport model, the length of the road link and the population affected within a zone. This paperrnpresents how the TNE and NPI were and can be applied in strategic environmental assessments.
