In this paper we will show how new tools on the Web, i.e., viewbars, are accepted by the users and what features of such tools on the Web become increasingly important. We present the results of a usability and image testing revealing how simplicity affects the user's experience with benchmarking aspects being of importance. This paper also gives distinctive recommendations with regard to viewbars in general and the prototype viewbar.
