The Behavior-Based Human Environment Creation Technology Project embarked in 1999 was aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of driver interactions and road situations, constructing a model of these interactions. Since the driving behavior is dependent on the situation, the traffic situation must be controlled for measuring driving behavior. A hi-fidelity driving simulator has been developed in order to measure driving behavior, including visual behavior, in town environment. In order to analyze the change of driving behavior which depend on the traffic situation, the driver's deceleration control strategies during approach to a T-junction are investigated. The effect of two different situations are analyzed, for one situation, the cars passed the front, crossing and for'the other situation. It was found that the minimum speed to the stop line is changed depend on the traffie situation and the driver individual.
