Conditions for the existence of stabilizing vibrations are derivednfor a class of distributed-parameter systems governed by parabolicnpartial differential equations with Neumann boundary conditions.nGuidelines for the choice of the vibration parameters that ensurenstabilization are given. The transient behavior of vibrationallyncontrolled systems is also studied. Examples of vibrationalnstabilization of unstable systems by linear multiplicative and vectornadditive vibrations are given to support the theory
