WEAKLY RELATIVISTIC STABILIZATION- The effect of the magnetic field

This paper adresses a problem that lately attracted a lot of interest, namely the effect of the magnetic field component of light on stab lization. In par-ticular, it derives an analytical estimate for the maximum allowable turn on rate of the light pulse, and the resulting optimal turn-on shape. We then present ab-inition numerical simulations in three dimensions using this pulse shape.
