摘要

The paper shows, that it is possible to predict a reliable behaviour of bolted end plate connection with finite element analyses, if the listed requirements are considered. Nevertheless, the final confirmation is given by the numerical simulations of experiments. These experiments have to be prepared and carried out with much more care, so that it will be really possible to perform an identical simulation of it. The comparison of experiment and finite element analyse has to include the behaviour of local zones (strain, bolt force) as well. Only if the numerical calculation can satisfy these criteria, the actual failure mechanisms of the investigated joints can be reliable simulated.
