TURBULENT DIAMAGNETISM AND GALACTIC DYNAMO

In a thin disk surrounded by vacuum, turbulent diamagnetism affects the distribution of the large-scale magnetic field only weakly, but significantly increases the efficiency of the dynamo action for large dynamo numbers and leads to an increase in the critical dynamo numbers.
