Conventional Water Bound Macadam is prepared using Coarse Aggregates, screenings and locally available gravelly soil. Voids in the coarse aggregate are filled using screenings and the soil. Conventional Water Bound Macadam has inherent disadvantage of consuming soil and getting eroded during rainy season. In the present study an attempt is made to use industrial waste like, Flyash and Gypsum to prepare slurry, which was used to fill the voids in the coarse aggregates. By this cost of screening material is saved and the use of cultivable soil is avoided. Studies carried out on slurry based macadam base coarse indicated better load carrying capacity and resistance against repeated loading. It is concluded that F-G Slurry based Macadam is economical, apart from having many advantages over conventional Water Bound Macadam and it is recommended to be used as a semi-rigid pavement.
