This study was undertaken to evaluated preparation and physicochemical properties of liposomes formulations containing nicotinamide (NCM), sixteen different liposomal formulations were prepared using phosphatidylcholine from soybean (SPC), cholesterol (CHO) and Tween80 by modified ethanol injection method. Total lipid ratio of all formulations were varied in rang 20–80 (µmole/ml). All liposomal formulations prepared showed mean particle size of about 430 nm or less. Among the sixteen liposomal formulations prepared, liposomal formulation number 12 showed the best result in the physicochemical properties such as entrapment efficiency, particle size, polydispersity index (PI), and zeta potential. In additional this formulation has been stable when stability studies for 2 month. SPC:CHOL:Tween80 (80 µmole/ml) were composed of liposomal formulation number 12, it has percent entrapment efficiency equal 73.86±0.09 while that in others formulations less than.
