摘要

Stability and deformation are major geotechnical considerations on soil structures on soft seabed constructed by reclamation. A case study is presented of the application of bathymetric survey to construction control in the Kansai international airport island construction work where by sand drain method is used for soft ground improvement. Effective construction control of such soil structure requires a systematic way of collecting accurate information on progress of consolidation, together with magnitude and distribution of load increment over the improved ground.
