Study on CFRD Construction Technology with Gravel and Its Application in Siping CFRD

摘要

The gravel reserves are abundant on the river bed round dam site of Siping gravel CFRD. The dam foundation is composed of the Silurian shale,sandy shale with a shape of moderate weathering-slightly newly weathering ;a great deal of tests,computation and system study were carried out in the design and construction stage for Siping CFRD in order to have an ideal protection of ecological environment and green dam construction. A comprehensive study was given to the key technical problems in the construction,putting forward the optimized technical measures such as section optimization of dam body,transition material optimization,3C material optimization and heavy tamping treatment on the gravel foundation and scientific and rational construction scheme. Thoseresearch results have successfully applied in the engineering practice,including simplified construction procedure for dam filling,increasing construction speed and completing construction of Siping dam rapidly with good quality.Water loss and soil erosion and damage of vegetation were decreased to a maximum extent,by using the materials from excavation of dam foundation,quarry for dam filling,and screening of gravels. The ecological environment is well protected with better economy and social benefits.
