摘要

A combined level and temperature industrial control application was used to demonstrate the effectiveness of post modern controllers. The nonlinear system model was used in conjunction with a feedback linearization scheme as a design platform for a linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR). The LQR controller was then implemented through computer simulation to show the effectiveness of the controller in performing the combined level-temperature regulation. The closed loop system was further tested and the controller was challenged to perform against some external disturbances in the system, sensor noise, sensor signal delay, and hybrid of these effects. The controller performed well in spite of these challenges that were injected into the system to create a more realistic industrial application.
