摘要

A computational study of three-dimensional pulsatile flows in arterial stenoses is presented. The aim of our research programme is two-fold: (1) to study on the basis of direct numerical simulations (DNS) the characteristics of pulsatile flows through 3D arterial stenoses; and (2) to examine the effects of advective terms discretization on the simulation of the above physiological flow problem. The simulations have been performed using high-order central and upwind Godunov-type methods. Results are presented for mild and severe stenoses with emphasis on the analysis of the flow in the post-stenotic regime.
