Analysis on Regional Economic Development Efficiency in China : Based on DEA Model and Malmquist Index

摘要

Based on the establishment of evaluation index system of efficiency, this paper employs DEA model and malmquist index to investigate the relative efficiency of economic development in 30 province-level regions in China from 2015 to 2019. The results show that the resource allocation in most regions are not reasonable, which leads to lower economic development efficiency. In addition, this paper also finds that Chinese regional economic development is unbalanced. Therefore, it is crucial to attach great importance to technological innovation and deepen the reform in an all round way to promote economic development efficiency.
