Using the ANSYS9. 0 finite element software to analyze elastic and elastic-plastic rolling contact problems between wheel and rail. The computation of point-contact and line-contact in elastic and elastic-plastic of wheel-rail contact states are analyzed in this paper. The contact states and the contact stress between wheel and rail are obtained and compared.
