Deployment of sensor nodes in wireless sensor communication plays a vital role to ascertain the network connectivity and services provided. Coverage of communication and detection between nodes is one of the important dimensions used to check the quality of service provided by the network. The random positioning scheme of wireless sensor nodes does not provide efficient coverage due to the issue caused by the intersection and overlapping between two or more nodes. In our proposed work, we use a strategy to reposition the nodes to get less overlapping and improve connectivity and coverage in a wireless communication network. The results in our proposed work conclude that, our method of deployment of sensor node provide large area of coverage in comparison with a scheme having overlapped nodes. At last we also depict that our scheme of re-deployment with proposed algorithm results in removing overlapped nodes in less time while the standard genetic algorithm takes more time in producing the same result.
