With increasing demand for a variety of automotive exterior designs, the use of dot and flat LED lighting in automotive exterior lamps is increasing. In this study, we describe approaches to solve the yellowing problem of UV curable resin for flat lighting. We formulated a UV curable resin with oligomer, monomer, photoinitiator, and photoadditive components to prevent yellowing. An aliphatic oligomer and single-functional monomer were effective in solving the yellowing problem. As a result, our new UV curable resin can be used at the automotive temperature range.
