Approach to the dynamic forwarding of packets in a differentiated service-based router

Abstract: In the LCT-UC we are currently working on a new servicemodel for Internet based communications. The main goalof this model is to provide QoS without too muchcomplexity. For this, we need to reinvent and developnew mechanisms for routers, which effectively candifferentiate the way packets are treated. This paperpresents our scheduling approach, the first version ofthe prototype under construction, and some tests thatprove its ability to efficiently differentiate trafficclasses.!10
