A Collaborative System for Using Functional Performance Specification in Briefing of Construction Projects

This paper describes a collaborative system, supported by case-based reasoning, which is designed to address the inefficiency and inaccuracy in defining functions and their performance when using functional performance specification in the briefing stage of construction projects. The paper starts with an introduction to the research background, followed by a description of the system architecture and the primary features of the system. The system is a part of an ongoing research project and the usefulness of it in real life projects are being evaluated.
