Modern vehicles require a high degree of refinement, including the driveability, to meet the driver's expectation. Active driveability control is a popular method to improve the drive comfort without impact on acceleration performance. Electric vehicles have more driveability concern in tip-in manoeuver because of less mounting around driveline and less background noise in compartment. It is important to investigate the driveline modelling techniques for development of new control algorithms. This paper presents the analysis of the current driveline modelling methods through comparison simulations in Matlab. A driveline model including the tyre dynamics is developed and its effectiveness has been demonstrated by simulations.
