This paper dealt with H-infinity control of the bidirectional dc-dc power converter for a V2G battery electric vehicle charger. This studied-system is composed of a bidirectional half-bridge structure associated with an electric battery via an LC filter. After an accurate modeling stage, a robust mixed-sensitivity H-infinity controller is designed to reach the three following control objectives: (i) ensuring the battery-charging process during the grid-to-vehicle operating mode; (ii) safeguarding and ensuring the battery-discharging process during the vehicle-to-grid operating mode; and (iii) guaranteeing asymptotic stability of the closed-loop studied-system. Finally, in order to validate the effectiveness of the proposed controller, numerous simulation scenarios are accomplished using the MATLAB/Simulink software which clearly illustrated that all control objectives are meet.
