The expanding Chinese economy will have serious implications for the Chinese foreign policy and the geopolitical energy strategy. Particularly the importance of oil and gas investments in Africa increased in the recent decades. Africa is an important and promising source of energy. In the recent decades China's energy investments in that region increased seriously. However, this region hides risks with the unstable and unpredictable political regimes that could make the reliance on energy resources burden for the economic growth of the Asian dragon.
